What is the Claude Certified Architect – Foundations (CCAR-F) exam?
It is Anthropic's foundational certification for people who design and build systems with Claude — covering agentic architecture, tools and MCP, Claude Code workflows, prompt engineering, and context management. The exam has 60 multiple-choice and multiple-response items grouped under 4 scenarios drawn from an official bank of 6, in 120 minutes, scored on a scaled 100–1000 with a passing score of 720.
Is it CCAR-F or CCAR-F?
The official exam code is CCAR-F (Exam Guide v1.0, July 2026); CCAR-F was the earlier community shorthand and refers to the same exam. Pearson VUE and Credly use CCAR-F.
Who is eligible to take the exam?
Only people at Claude Partner Network organizations. You register on the Anthropic Partner Academy with your partner company email (personal addresses are rejected), must be 18 or older, and your government ID name must match your registration. Any company can apply to the Partner Network — the Registered tier is free.
How much does the exam cost and how long is it valid?
$125 USD per attempt since 2026-06-30 (it was $99 at launch). Select, Preferred and Global Premier partners get 50% off; Global Premier is free through 2026-12-31. The credential is valid for 12 months and is renewed through a free, non-proctored renewal assessment on the Partner Academy.
What happens if I fail?
You wait 14 days after a first fail, 30 days after a second and 90 days after a third, with at most 4 attempts per exam in any rolling 12 months. The full fee applies to every attempt.
Is the exam available in my language?
No. The exam and the official prep content are English-only, and browser translation tools are prohibited during the exam. That is why our lessons are in five languages but our mock exams are in English — to train reading speed on the real exam's vocabulary.
Are there multi-select questions?
Yes. The exam uses multiple-choice and multiple-response items, and each item states how many responses to select. Our practice questions include multiple-response items graded the same way.
Is this an official Anthropic site?
No. This is an independent study resource. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Anthropic. We map our curriculum to the official exam guide and verify it against the date shown on each page.
What is free and what is paid?

How many practice questions are there?
The launch question bank has 120+ questions across the five domains, weighted to match the real exam, with more mock exams added over time.
Which languages does this site support?
English, Japanese (日本語), Korean (한국어), Brazilian Portuguese (Português), and Simplified Chinese (简体中文) for lessons and study guides; mock exams are English-only like the real exam.
How is the practice exam scored?
Like the real exam: your raw score is mapped to a 100–1000 scale, and 720 is the passing line. After each attempt you get a per-domain breakdown — the same percent-correct-by-domain view the official score report gives you.
